A Word That Describes You?
Hello everyone,
If you had to pick one word and precisely one word to describe you, what would it be? Are you creative, inventive, a dancer, or a sibling?
I rediscovered one of my short essays on the same topic. Here is what the younger me had to say on the subject:
Determined
Winston Churchill once said, “If you are going through hell, keep going.” Many people believe that success is achieved through the possession of talent. On the contrary, I find the definition of triumph in a completely separate direction. To me, a successful person is somebody who feels satisfied with what they have achieved. And in order to accomplish anything that deserves self-contentment, one must be determined and remain patient with their efforts to fulfill something truly spectacular that is indeed worthy of complacency.
A resolute individual can be associated with a metaphorical train – a train that does not stray from its path but follows and perseveres. And I believe I am the reverse personification of this train which strives to complete its goal. My resolute personality is displayed in my will to never give up on my “destinations.” For instance, I wish to be accepted into a distinguished high school, and I am adamant in my efforts to do everything possible to increase my chances of acceptance. Several other instances in which I exhibit determination occur when I look over and “examine” my mistakes. This supports me in my endeavors to improve and learn from the past.
If the train has not reached its final destination yet, watch it zip past you; its arrival is inevitable!
